Lord of the Flies! (1-29)
Hay everyone, my name is Ferdinando and I am a year 10 student. Me and 3 quarters of the class are reading the book ‘Lord of the Flies’ by William Golding. Feel free to Blog back at any-time! J
Just finished reading pages 1-29 of ‘lord of the flies’
So far the island has been explored and described.
This book so far is EPIC! I love everything about the story, but the only thing I dislike is how the author rambles on when he describes the scenery. This made me lose the energy of the story, having to take to much information in at one time is one of my weaknesses. For instance:
It's just a little too much. But, even if the descriptions are a bit long, it helps you to understand the scenery. I have been to a lagoon, in Italy, once and the descriptions reminded me of that."All round him the long scar smashed into the jungle was a bath of heat. He was clambering heavily among the creepers and broken trunks when a bird, a vision of red and yellow, flashed upwards with a witch-like cry; and this cry was echoed by another."
There are a few characters in the story and the main characters have interesting personalties. There's 'Ralph' who's a 12 year old and seems like a good leader, then there's 'Jake' who's the leader of the choir is like the evil villain of the group, wanting nothing but power. Then there's the other boy which are just side characters.
I will put up chapter 2 shortly, goodbye for now.
